HOUSTON, Jan. 5 -- Occidental Petroleum Corp. unit Occidental Petroleum of Qatar Ltd. recently awarded UAE engineering firm National Petroleum Construction Co. a multimillion dollar contract for development of Idd El Shargi North Dome (ISND) natural gas field off Qatar.
The contract involves engineering, procurement, fabrication, precommissioning, offshore transportation, installation, and commissioning of 4 wellhead platforms, 19 associated subsea pipelines, and 3 subsea multiservice umbilicals for the field.
Work is expected to be completed by July 2005.
