ExxonMobil France announces appointments

Dominique Badel has been appointed chairman and CEO of Esso SAF in charge of coordinating all ExxonMobil interests in France.

PARIS, Dec. 11 -- Dominique Badel has been appointed chairman and CEO of Esso SAF in charge of coordinating all ExxonMobil interests in France. He succeeds Patrick Heinzle who was named ExxonMobil vice-president of finance and controller for Africa and the Middle East.

Badel, with Esso since 1970, has occupied posts in France, in Dallas and in Tokyo, where he was chairman and CEO of Esso Sekiyu, then president of Mobil Sekiyu and chairman of ExxonMobil Group Japan. Most recently, he served as director of the global downstream coordination office in Fairfax, Va.

Patrick Heinzle joined Esso in 1977 and occupied posts in France before becoming assistant general auditor at Exxon Co. International at Florham Park, NJ. Returning to France in 1992, he was appointed Esso SAF accounting manager and controller, then finance manager in 1996. In 2000 he became chairman and CEO.
