HOUSTON, Nov. 5 -- An investigation is under way to determine the cause of an explosion and fire that occurred Oct. 23 at Petróleo Brasileiro SA's Henrique Lage refinery in São Jose dos Campos, São Paulo.
Petrobras said the blast occurred on one of the furnace lines in one of the two kerosine hydrodesulfurization units.
Although the fire disrupted operations, there were no casualties, and workers who suffered slight injuries were treated at the site. Petrobras said deliveries would be met, as the refinery has regular stocks.
