Dominion to acquire Wisconsin nuclear facility

Dominion, Richmond, Va., has agreed to pay $220 million in cash to WPS Resources Corp. subsidiary Wisconsin Public Service Corp. and Wisconsin Power & Light for the 545 Mw Kewaunee nuclear power plant on Lake Michigan, 35 miles southeast of Green Bay, Wis. That price includes $36.5 million for nuclear fuel.

Dominion will sell 59% of the facility's output to Wisconsin Public Service and 41% to WPL under an agreement that expires in 2013.
