HOUSTON, Oct. 23 -- A fire on Oct. 17 damaged a section of Hyundai Oilbank Corp.'s Daesan Petrochemicals complex, reducing diesel production by 12,000 b/d, company officials said, according to a report by Asia Pulse Businesswire.

The plant, South Korea's third largest, refines about 370,000 b/d. The officials reported that damages were limited to about $8,400, and the production of gasoline, kerosene, and other derivatives were not affected, the wire service reported.
