HOUSTON, Aug. 20 -- Marathon Oil Corp. announced that Thomas K. Sneed has been appointed chief information officer, effective Sept. 1.
He will be responsible for managing all aspects of Marathon's information technology systems.
Sneed has been manager, information technology services, for Marathon Ashland Petroleum LLC since September 2002. He joined Marathon in 1981 as a programmer and has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility.
