HOUSTON, June 4 -- TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Co. said it received all needed federal and provincial authorizations to begin acquisition of its 2003 multiclient 2D seismic survey campaign off Newfoundland and Nova Scotia.
The M/V Odin Explorer will gather the data within 5-6 months.
The program will supplement the contractor's seismic coverage over key blocks included in Newfoundland's 2003 Call for Bids and add 12,000 km to its existing 45,000-km comprehensive grid off Nova Scotia.
