HOUSTON, Apr. 10 -- Unocal Corp. said it has completed drilling operations on the Bohr prospect on Mississippi Canyon Block 637 in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico and has temporarily abandoned it.
Based on the initial understanding from the well, the company said it appears unlikely that the well encountered commercial quantities of oil and gas, although it encountered hydrocarbons, and evaluation is continuing to determine the potential commerciality of the overall prospect.
Unocal is operator, with a 40% working interest in the Bohr well.
