Huber awards Baker Energy operations, maintenance of onshore properties

Huber Energy, a unit of J. M. Huber Corp., has awarded Baker Energy, a unit of Michael Baker Corp, a 4 year contract to operate and maintain the onshore oil and gas producing properties of Huber's Midcontinent Business Unit, which includes production in the Panhandle and western Anadarko basin fields of Texas.

HOUSTON, Apr. 21 -- Huber Energy, a unit of J. M. Huber Corp., has awarded Baker Energy, a unit of Michael Baker Corp, a 4 year contract to operate and maintain the onshore oil and gas producing properties of Huber's Midcontinent Business Unit, which includes production in the Panhandle and western Anadarko basin fields of Texas.

The contract, which begins on June 1, is to optimize production and reduce the operating costs of 900 wells, 5 gathering systems with almost 300 miles of gathering lines, 180 compressors, and associated production facilities. Current production is about 36 MMcfed of gas.
