ADNOC subsidiaries to develop Das Island CNG project

Three Abu Dhabi National Oil Corp subsidiaries—Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Co. Ltd. (Adgas), Abu Dhabi Marine Operations Co., and Adnoc Distribution—jointly are developing a project on Das Island to replace gasoline with compressed natural gas in vehicles by 2004 and to introduce CNG in Abu Dhabi city, OPECNA News Services reported.

Three Abu Dhabi National Oil Corp subsidiaries—Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Co. Ltd. (Adgas), Abu Dhabi Marine Operations Co., and Adnoc Distribution—jointly are developing a project on Das Island to replace gasoline with compressed natural gas in vehicles by 2004 and to introduce CNG in Abu Dhabi City, OPEC News Agency reported.

The three companies plan to share the cost and have agreed to conduct a full feasibility study of the CNG project. Adgas said BC Gas International will develop a CNG development proposal for the group's consideration.
