ChevronTexaco names new HES vice-president

Rhonda I. Zygocki has been named vice-president, health, environment and safety (HES), effective Apr. 1.

HOUSTON, Mar. 17 -- Rhonda I. Zygocki has been named vice-president, health, environment and safety (HES), effective Apr. 1. Zygocki currently serves as managing director of Perth-based ChevronTexaco Australia Pty Ltd.

In her new position, Zygocki will supervise the company's HES strategic planning and issues management, compliance and auditing, and emergency response.

Zygocki joined Chevron Canada Resources (CCR) in 1980 as a petroleum engineer, working primarily in the company's Western Canada operations. In August 1993, she was named CCR general manager, strategic business services. In December 1994, Zygocki was appointed profit center manager for Chevron USA Production Co., Houston, and in March 1997, she returned to Canada as chief financial officer of CCR.

Zygocki was named manager of strategic planning in 1999 for Chevron Corp. Then, in 2000, Zygocki became advisor to the company's chairman and afterwards oversaw the merger integration planning office through mid-2001.
