HOUSTON, Oct. 22 -- Anadarko Petroleum Corp. is pressing activity in and around giant Vernon gas field in Jackson Parish.
The 1 Harris, in 19-17n-14w, a new field wildcat to Jurassic Lower Cotton Valley, is below 10,000 ft enroute to TD 16,000 ft.
Elsewhere in the parish, the company has 4 rigs running, 5 wells under test, and 5 locations permitted to the zone at 14,500-16,500 ft. Flow rates generally are 5-10 MMcfd of gas, PennEnergy Data reported.
Anadarko has attributed 1 tcf of reserves to Vernon field (OGJ Online, June 24, 2002).
