Newly formed ConocoPhillips has named 16 directors—14 outside and 2 inside—to its board. The company received final regulatory approval and completed closing formalities last month.

HOUSTON, Sept. 5 -- Newly formed ConocoPhillips has named 16 directors—14 outside and 2 inside—to its board. The company received final regulatory approval and completed closing formalities late last month (OGJ Online, Aug. 30, 2002).

Of the outside directors, ConocoPhillips's board comprises seven former members of Phillips Petroleum Co.'s board and seven former members of Conoco Inc.'s board.

Board members are: Richard H. Auchinleck, retired president and CEO of Gulf Canada Resources Ltd.; Norman R. Augustine, executive committee chairman of Lockheed Martin Corp.'s board; David L. Boren, president of the University of Oklahoma; Kenneth M. Duberstein, chairman and CEO of Duberstein Group; Archie W. Dunham, ConocoPhillips chairman; Ruth R. Harkin, senior vice-president, international affairs and government relations, for United Technologies Corp.; Larry D. Horner, retired chairman of Pacific USA Holdings Corp.; Charles C. Krulak, chairman and CEO of MBNA Europe; Frank A. McPherson, retired chairman and CEO of Kerr-McGee Corp.; James J. Mulva, ConocoPhillips president and CEO; William K. Reilly, president and CEO of Aqua International Partners; William R. Rhodes, senior vice-chairman of Citigroup Inc. and Citibank NA; J. Stapleton Roy, managing director of Kissinger Associates Inc; Randall L. Tobias, chairman emeritus of Eli Lilly & Co.; Victoria J. Tschinkel, senior environmental consultant to Landers & Parsons; and Kathryn C. Turner, chairperson and CEO of Standard Technology Inc.
