Petrobras awards FMC three deepwater solutions contracts

Petroleo Brasiliero SA (Petrobras) has awarded FMC Technologies Inc. three deepwater solutions contracts worth a combined $17 million.

HOUSTON, Jan. 9 -- Petroleo Brasiliero SA (Petrobras) has awarded FMC Technologies Inc. three deepwater solutions contracts worth a combined $17 million.

FMC will design, build, and test 18,200 ft of completion riser joints. It is set to deliver the system in the second half of the year. FMC said it expects a 5-year service contract for the system. It was not stated where the system would be used.

FMC will also supply vertical subsea trees for Petrobras's developments in 5,000 ft of water in the Campos basin. Delivery is expected in the third quarter.

FMC will also deliver in the third quarter a pipeline termination manifold for Petrobras' Roncador field.
