NKK Corp. has laid a double-hulled keel for a 300,000 dwt oil tanker at its Tsu shipyards for Aquamarine Shipholding Maritime SA, Panama.

Canada's National Energy Board will hold a public hearing Nov. 19 on an application from Petro-Canada to build a 67-km, 10-in. natural gas pipeline from Medicine Hat, Alta., to Burstall, Sask. Written interventions against the 53 MMcfd line must be filed with the board by Sept. 24.

Alaska has selected investment banking firm Petrie Parkman & Co. as its financial advisor for the evaluation of the State of Alaska's potential participation in owning an interest in or financing a North Slope natural gas pipeline project.
