Indian company Reliance Petroleum Ltd. has awarded Jacobs H&G Private Ltd., Mumbai, a contract to provide engineering and procurement services for multipurpose chemical terminals across India and to provide engineering, procurement, and construction management services on two Reliance-operated pipelines.
Petro-Canada, Calgary, has applied to the National Energy Board for permission to build a $9.9 million (Can.) pipeline from Alberta to Saskatchewan. The 10-in., 40-mile line would transport 53 MMcfd of gas from Petro-Canada's properties in the Medicine Hat area to Burstall. The proposed in-service date is May 1, 2002.
Saipem SPA has awarded Smit Transport & Heavy Lift, a unit of Smit International, Rotterdam, a contract to provide inshore heavy lift services during the construction of two 380-km parallel pipelines across the Black Sea. The Blue Stream Pipeline Co. owns the pipelines.
Petroleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras) has extended the contract for DSND Subsea's pipelay vessel Kommandor 3000 from November to Apr. 1, 2002. The vessel is working off Brazil for Petrobras for $71,000/day.
