HOUSTON, May 15 -- Crosstex Energy Services Inc., Dallas, acquired Corpus Christi Natural Gas Co. LP (CCNG) from an affiliate of Shell US Gas & Power Co. in a deal involving gathering, processing, transmission, marketing, and industrial pipeline assets.
In a separate deal, Crosstex acquired the 200-mile South Texas Pettus gathering system from Plains Resources Inc., Houston.
The CCNG System includes 520 miles of gathering and transmission pipelines, the Rosita gas treating plant, and the Gregory gas processing/fractionation facility. The CCNG mainline system has 350 MMcfd of throughput capacity to the Texas Gulf Coast and interconnects with industrial and utility customers in the Corpus Christi area.
The Rosita gas treatment plant consists of two 140-gpm amine treating units with a combined treating capacity of 40 MMcfd. The Gregory processing plant is a cryogenic turboexpander plant with an inlet design capacity of 100 MMcfd. It includes a 300-mile gathering system.
