LONDON, Apr. 18 --Talisman Energy UK Ltd., the North Sea arm of Canadian independent Talisman Energy Inc., Wednesday extended for 2 years a central North Sea integrated support contract with Kvaerner AS's Modification, Maintenance & Operations unit.

The deal, which covers production operations, maintenance, and minor modifications support of the four-field Talisman Flotta Catchment Area (FCA) asset group, is expected to total around $21 million/year and contains performance incentives, according to the Anglo-Norwegian engineering company.

The contract's work encompasses Talisman's Piper B, Claymore, Saltire, and Tartan platforms, along with the production operations support of the oil company's Flotta Terminal in Orkney, Scotland.

Nick Walker, Kvaerner's manager for production and operations at FCA, said the contract reaffirmed the "major role Kvaerner has played in reengineering the FCA business over the past year."

The contract, said to have "further extension options," will be managed from the Talisman offices in Aberdeen.
