BEIJING, Mar. 5�Maoming Petrochemical Corp. in southern China�s Guangdong province began to build a jet fuel hydrotreating unit late last month.
The 1.2 million tonnes/year unit is being built adjacent to the refinery's other units, at a cost of 80 million yuan.
Maoming is expected to complete the construction by the end of this year.
The hydrotreater will be Maoming 's second. The first one has a capacity of 1 million tonnes/year.
The refinery is a unit of China Petroleum & Chemical Corp. (Sinopec) with an annual crude refining capacity of 13.5 million tonnes/year.
