The California Air Resources Board has verified Lubrizol Corp.'s proprietary PuriNOx fuel as a low-emission alternative diesel fuel, said Lubrizol.

Probex Corp. formed a strategic alliance with Bechtel Corp. under which Bechtel will provide engineering, procurement, and construction services for Probex's facilities worldwide. The first application will be Probex's plant in Wellsville, Ohio, which reprocesses, purifies, and upgrades used motor oils.

A 44,000 b/d hydrocracker at Saudi Aramco's Ras Tanoura refinery is down for maintenance and will be back on line soon, said the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries' news agency.
