Expro International Group PLC said Shell Exploration BV and Brovig ASA have awarded it two field development-related contracts worth a combined �28 million. Expro said it also has been awarded several smaller projects totaling �22 million.
The �18 million Shell contract calls for Expro to work with Swire Pacific Offshore, an affiliate of John Swire & Sons Ltd., London, to provide and operate an early production system in Soroush field off Iran. The companies have acquired a jack up production unit and will upgrade processing capacity to 100,000 b/d from 60,000 b/d. They will also install 10 Mw of power generation capacity. This is Expro's first major step into the Middle East market.
Brovig will pay Expro �10 million to provide and operate production facilities on the floating production, storage, and offloading facility for Isis field off Tunisia. Expro will also provide well planning and completion design services to Isis operator Coparex BV.
Expro said other contracts include a �9 million field rejuvenation contract in Kazakhstan from Baker Hughes Inc. as well as awards from BP unit BP Colombia, Santa Fe Snyder Corp.'s Indonesian affiliate, and Chevron Corp. unit Chevron Equatorial Guinea.
