Centurion Energy International Inc., Calgary, is continuing to develop El Wastani field in Egypt's Nile Delta.

The field is on the El Manzala Concession, which covers 420,000 acres in Northern Egypt. Centurion has a 100% interest.

Centurion plans to reenter and complete the El Wastani #2, which was drilled in 1989 but shut in due to the lack of gas market.

Centurion's first re-entry well in the field, El Wastani #1, flowed 12.1 MMcfd and 315 b/d of condensate in 1998.

When El Wastani #2 is completed, Centurion will build a 20-km pipeline to be tied-in to an existing gas processing facility. The field is due to be on stream by mid-2001.
