Williams awards pipeline subcontract to Coflexip Stena Offshore

Williams subsidiary Williams Field Services has awarded a subcontract to France's Coflexip Stena Offshore Inc. to design, build, and install export pipelines from the Boomvang and Nansen field developments in the East Breaks area in the Gulf of Mexico, to a platform located near Galveston, Tex.


Williams subsidiary Williams Field Services has awarded a subcontract to France's Coflexip Stena Offshore Inc. (CSO) to design, build, and install export pipelines from the Boomvang and Nansen field developments in the East Breaks area in the Gulf of Mexico, to a platform located near Galveston, Tex.

Partners in the two fields awarded the pipeline contract to Williams, it was announced Tuesday (OGJ Online, Oct. 10, 2000).

The CSO contract includes project management, engineering and installation of more than 100 miles of rigid pipeline and steel catenary risers, with diameters of 12-18-in., and tie-ins to the fields' spar platform.

CSO will also install all the associated subsea structures. Installation is scheduled to take place in the second half of 2001.

Houston-based CSO entity RJ Brown Deepwater Inc. will design the pipeline system.
