Operator Barrett Resources Corp. drilled Bullfrog 5-12 well, on the Waltman Deep structure south of Cave Gulch field in Wyoming's Wind River basin, to 19,550 ft TD, penetrating the Frontier, Muddy, and Lakota formations.

The well began production last month and is now flowing 6.8 MMcfd of gas at 3,600 psi flowing tubing pressure through a 23/64-in. choke from the First Frontier formation at 17,821-50 ft. Barrett Resources said it will consider whether further development is required.

Cave Gulch, located near Waltman Deep, produces 19% of Barrett Resource's 260 MMcfd of gas production. Denver-based Barrett owns an 82% working interest in Bullfrog 5-12.
