I have for years laminted the general distain the industry seems to have for the environmental activist that are constantly voicing concerns or accusations against the industry. This industry attitude can easily be read as arrogrance, and if that is the case, the oil industry is making a huge mistake. Our children are being taught all of the environmentalist doctrine in our schools and they come out believing that is the truth. Business and industry better find a way to compete in the indoctrination process or those coming voters are not going to be on industry's side. There is a very lopsided message being assemilated in the masses. When asked to speak on subjects dealing with economic development activities of many varieties I've been shocked by the views our college students have as a result of their public school and college education. The oil and gas industry had better start investing in a balanced message to all of our population or the battle will get even more difficult. Spend the money on good PR efforts, scientist and engineers are lousy at dealing with the activitist and the public. /content/ogj/en/blogs/editors-perspective-video/2012/02/surface-effects-part.html#comments-bob_i_agree_withyou2012-03-05T17:36:05.688Z2012-03-05T17:36:05.688Z500
