The energy secretariat awarded 100% interest for 5 year exploration periods in Neuquen basin Blocks CN VI A/B and CNQ 35 (Bajo Hondo) to a unit of Aventura Energy Inc., Calgary.
CN VI A covers 124 sq km 10 km north and east of Puesto Molina and Puesto Molina Norte oil fields. CN VI B is 33 sq km about 3 km northeast of Puesto Hernandez oil field.
Aventura's Petrolera del Comanue will acquire 35 sq km of 3D seismic data within 3 years or can substitute other work. The blocks are in Mendoza Province.
CNQ 35 covers 200 sq km in Rio Negro Province south of Comahue's 90% owned Blanco de los Olivos block. It must acquire 40 sq km of 3D seismic data or conduct similar work within 3 years.
