Pasadena, Calif., has announced the appointment of Milton Hunter as senior vice-president of Parsons Infrastructure & Technology Group. He will initially be assigned to head up the group's homeland defense and security initiative.

Pasadena, Calif., has announced the appointment of Milton Hunter as senior vice-president of Parsons Infrastructure & Technology Group. He will initially be assigned to head up the group's homeland defense and security initiative.

Prior to joining Parsons, Hunter was a major general in the US Army Corps of Engineers. He holds a BS in architectural engineering from Washington State University and an MS in engineering from the University of Washington. He also is a graduate of the senior managers in government program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Parsons is a provider of full service engineering and management services to an array of market sectors. The company has over 11,000 employees, and operates in the US and over 32 countries internationally.

Peak Group

Aberdeen, has appointed John Sands as managing director for its subsidiary company, Peak Well Management. Sands holds a BS with honors in petroleum geology from the University of Aberdeen.

Peak Group, established in 1996, is a supplier of well engineering and operations management services to the global upstream industry. Peak Well Management Ltd. provides well project management solutions that encompass well engineering, petroleum engineering, and operations management services.

Stewart & Stevenson Services Inc.

Houston, has named Peter J. DeFronzo as vice-president and general manager of the petroleum equipment division. DeFronzo has over 30 years of experience, serving most recently with Cooper Cameron. He holds a BS in mechanical engineering.

Stewart & Stevenson Services Inc., founded in 1902, manufactures, distributes, and provides service for a wide range of industrial products and diesel-powered equipment worldwide to industries including petroleum, power generation, marine, and transportation.

Halliburton

Dallas, has announced its acquisition of Magic Earth Inc., merging the 3-D visualization and interpretation technology company into Halliburton's Landmark business unit. Michael J. Zeitlin, chairman of Magic Earth, will remain as president and CEO of the Magic Earth group.

Landmark is a leading supplier of software and services for the upstream oil and gas industry.

Halliburton, founded in 1919, provides products and services to the petroleum and energy industries through its Energy Services Group and its Engineering & Construction segment.

Linde AG

Weisbaden, Germany, has announced plans to merge its two Tulsa, Oklahoma-based subsidiaries, Lotepro Corp. and Pro-Quip Corp., to form Linde Process Plants Inc. (LPP) LPP will provide complete engineering capabilities from front-end studies through construction and commissioning, while continuing to serve the markets previously served individually by Lotepro and Pro-Quip.

Lotepro, a major technology supplier since 1962, has built plants in the areas of air separation and liquefaction, hydrogen, CO generation and purification, helium liquefaction and recovery, and environmental systems.

Pro-Quip Corp., using patented and proprietary technology, has built plants in the areas of hydrocarbon processing, sulfur recovery, hydrogen generation, natural gas processing, and other refinery and chemical facilities since 1969.

Technip-Coflexip

Paris, is the new company name resulting from Technip's acquisition of 98.3% of Coflexip's shares. The new entity has announced additions to its previously announced management appointments that include Thomas Ehret as vice-chairman and Claire Giraut as member of the group management.

Ehret, formerly chief operating officer of Coflexip, will also manage the offshore branch operations.

Technip-Coflexip is a leading provider of oil and petrochemical engineering, construction, and services. The group has industrial and construction facilities in France, Brazil, the UK, US, and Finland, as well as a fleet of offshore construction vessels. Its workforce of about 18,000 is located worldwide.
