Relief valve handles cryogenic service

The new RXSO-S stainless steel safety relief valve is suited for cryogenic service and where corrosive, noxious, and expensive liquids or gases demand a premium seal. It features a Teflon seat for API 527 spec bubbletight seals at more than 90% of set pressure.

Plant turnaround software

Primavera Enterprise 2.0 software offers a comprehensive, multiproject planning and control solution to help assess and streamline petrochemical plant and refinery turnarounds and resource management.

The software helps plan maintenance projects well in advance. It also helps reduce the time it takes to complete maintenance projects by giving project managers the ability to organize aspects of a project from the enterprise level, the company says.

This firm's small bore submersible KPSI transducers are now available with an accuracy of ±0.05% of full scale. The new Series 335 transducers are suited for applications that require high static accuracy and a bore dimension of less than 1 in., including well monitoring, downhole, surface water monitoring, ground water monitoring, level control, saltwater, dewatering, pump control, and shipboard use.

The Series 335 transducer has a 3/4 in. bore dimension available in a corrosion-resistant 316 stainless steel housing or titanium wetted parts (335T) for harsher environments. User-specified pressure ranges are available from 0-2 psig to 0-300 psig. The transducer uses a cable seal system able to withstand up to 200 lb pull strength, is 100% computer tested and calibrated, and is fully temp-erature compensated and data logger compatible.

It features high performance internal signal conditioning and is available with standard voltage and current loop outputs. Each transducer is shipped with a traceable calibration card that specifies input/output conditions and data recorded during manufacturing. Custom calibration is available when additional performance characteristics are required.

The transducers are designed for installation in Class I, Division I, Groups A, B, C, and D; Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F, and G; and Class III, Division 1, hazardous locations when connected to appropriate electrical barriers. They are also American Board of Shipping, UL, FM, and CSA approved.

A new line of color video monitoring systems provides continuous real-time remote monitoring of reactors, tanks, critical processes, or outdoor installations. Using either fixed or zoom lens cameras that are weatherproof and rated EX for hazardous locations, the systems provide 470-line (horizontal) resolution in either NTSC or PAL format. The controller and view screen may be located as far as 1,000 m from the camera mounting, with connection via common six-conductor telephone cable.

Specs for the camera include a 1/4-in. CCD image scanner with 2.5 Lux light sensitivity, yielding about 440,000-pixel displays. Noise is 48 db with a sensitivity range of 300:1. Operating conditions are -5° to +40° C. (41° to 104° F.). Protection is IP 65, and an EC-Type examination certificate has been applied for. A choice of five fixed lenses having focal lengths of 2.5-8 mm is available. The zoom lens covers 6-60 mm. The standard camera housing is aluminum alloy, with stainless steel an option for the fixed-lens models.

The control unit incorporates a 120 v ac power supply (230 v ac, 50 hz optional), the necessary input and output connections, and signal conditioning electronics. Output is 75 ohms at 1 v.

Unit size is 220 by 220 by 80 mm. (8.66 by 8.66 by 3.15 in.).

The system will accommodate any industrial monitor with 75 ohm, 1 v input with a coaxial cable.
