Here's the PMD 100 microdistillation analyzer-a portable unit that provides results in 10 min, using only 10 ml of sample.

Testing under atmospheric pressure in correlation to ASTM D86, this fully independent stand-alone unit enables installation in locations suited to work flow, helping make it a useful tool for process quality follow-up (at-line) or mobile applications. Simple, straightforward operation involves simply placing a flask filled with test specimen on the instrument and pressing the start key. No special programming of test conditions or prior distillation test knowledge is required.

The PMD 100 provides a detailed ASTM D86-compliant report and, as preprogrammed by the user or upon demand, prints and-or transmits results via a serial PC link. For quality control, analyzed samples can be instantaneously compared with preprogrammed standard specifications.

Drill cuttings services offered

Shipment, drying, and conveyance services for drill cuttings are offered from this provider.

Its bulk shipment procedure is a method of storing and transporting drill cuttings without the use and handling of 25 bbl cuttings boxes or bags. The process includes storing the cuttings on the rig until a boat arrives, then transferring the cuttings to the boat via a hose. The cuttings are dried and the mud recycled on the rig before storing, transporting, and disposing.

One of its latest tools for drying drill cuttings produces cuttings dried to less than 2% oil on cuttings, by weight. The vertical centrifuge has an internal cuttings feed system that measures the volume of cuttings processed on a real time basis, whereby, hole cleaning is continuously monitored. Because the driller knows that the hole is being cleaned, equivalent circulating densities can be more easily controlled, reducing loss circulation of drilling muds, the company points out. The dryer sets directly on the deck of the rig, in a corner, fitting in a 61/2 ft cube.

The company's continuous feed vacuum discharge hoppers feed cuttings to injection units, transport tanks, bags, and trucks, or to cuttings dryers. The hoppers use an auger feed system that continuously force feeds drill cuttings, while maintaining a vacuum on the hopper. Each hopper has been field proved to handle any hole size. A second hopper provides 100% backup redundancy. Drill rates of up to a mile in 24 hr have been achieved with this system, the company says. The system does not require putting a vacuum on the container being fed, which allows local, conventional containers to be utilized.

Program provides upstream solutions

The new upstream performance adviser (UPA) is a business intelligence tool that provides exploration and production managers and their teams with access to information used to drive their operations.

UPA includes the tools and processes required to build a centralized data warehouse to integrate information from multiple corporate data bases. UPA then provides common upstream key performance indicators (KPIs), such as production, expenses, and cash flow per barrel of oil equivalent. UPA integrates and presents the information through a web-enabled application that provides instant access to KPIs, proactive monitoring of variations between plan and actuals, and pertinent news.

By using UPA, all parties within the enterprise receive consistent, timely access, analysis, and reporting of critical business information, the company says.

Here's a line of ultrahigh-purity pressure gauges, with VCR face seal fitting and IGC II surface mount end connections.

The pressure gauges are factory calibrated and helium leak tested. They meet ASME B40.1 standards for accuracy in ultrahigh-purity (UHP) applications, ranging from bulk gas distribution to process tool.

These UHP pressure gauges, constructed with 316L VAR end connections, are available in 11/2 and 2 in. (40 and 50 mm) dial sizes. Gauges are capable of sensing vacuum and positive pressure (compound) or positive pressures only. They feature a variety of end connections, such as male and female rotatable and male integral VCR face seal fittings, as well as an IGC II surface mount (SEMI PR3.1 compliant) option. Gauges are available with center back and lower back mounting options.

Units are assembled, cleaned, and packaged in a Class 10 environment and carry a limited lifetime product warranty.
