Godwin Pumps of America Inc.

Bridgeport, NJ, has named three operations managers in the Charlotte and Raleigh/Durham areas of North Carolina. Randy Adams will be branch manager for a new branch office in Charlotte. Jay Fish will coordinate sales and rental from that office. Robbie Edwards, operations manager at the Raleigh/Durham branch office, will handle inside sales support.

Godwin Pumps is the largest manufacturer of portable rental pumps in the US, with a fleet of over 2,000 pumps plus related accessories and equipment.

Alliance Engineering Inc.

Houston, has announced the addition of Ronald D. Jones as senior engineering consultant. Jones comes to Alliance Engineering from M&H Enterprises and has a wide range of project management and marketing experience in the oil and gas industry.

Jones holds a BS in chemical engineering from the University of Texas-Austin, and an MBA from Pepperdine University.

Alliance Engineering, founded in 1993, is a leading provider of engineering and design services for onshore and offshore pipelines and production facilities. Alliance Engineering is a subsidiary of Wood Group Ltd.

Chevron Oronite Co. LLC

Houston, has announced the appointment of Ron Kiskis as the new president. Kiskis received a PhD in organic chemistry from the University of California-Berkeley and has been with Chevron since 1974. He has held a variety of management positions in the areas of research, fuel additives, human resources, and refining and marketing.

Chevron Oronite, a subsidiary of Chevron Corp., is a major manufacturer and marketer of lubricant and fuel additives worldwide.

Houghton Offshore

Houston, has opened its new global sales and services headquarters in Houston. Houghton Offshore is a division of Houghton International and specializes in the manufacture and formulation of water-based fluids for oil and gas production and exploration equipment.

Houghton International, based in Valley Forge, Pa., was founded in 1865. It has served the offshore oil and gas industry with the development and production of specialty chemicals, oils, and lubricants.

Maryville, Tenn., has announced its move to a new 55,700 sq ft facility in Maryville. Formerly based in Knoxville, the new headquarters enables Robertshaw IPD to increase productivity 35% and reduce lead time to the customer by 50%.

Robertshaw IPD is a group within the Automation Systems Division of Invensys plc and manufactures innovative industrial products, including its newest product, a wireless tank level monitoring system.

Lukens Energy Group Inc.

Houston, is the newly announced name of Lukens Consulting Group Inc. The company reorganization includes opening a Canada office in Calgary, managed by Jan van Egteren.

Lukens Energy Group provides economic and market analysis, strategic planning, and optimization software products to buyers and sellers of energy commodities, as well as regulatory policy management, litigation support, and decision science.

Merrick & Co. and Bateman Engineering

Aurora and Denver, Colo., respectively, have announced the formation of a new company to be known as Bateman-Merrick Group, based at Merrick's Aurora headquarters. The company will be managed by Jay Powell, president, and Elliot Trepper, executive vice-president.

The new venture combines the technical and project execution capabilities of both companies and will be a service provider for the hydrocarbon processing industry in the Rocky Mountains.

Bateman Engineering is the US operating company of Bateman Project Holdings Ltd., a global process-oriented engineering contracting group in business for over 75 years.

Merrick is a multidisciplinary engineering, architectural, GIS/mapping, and contruction management firm founded in 1955.

MAN Turbomaschinen AG GHH Borsig

Oberhausen, Germany, has acquired the turbomachine activities of Sulzer AG, Winterthur, Switzerland. Merger of the two companies' sales and service organizations will further strengthen MAN's presence on international markets, particularly in the US.

OSL Offshore Systems & Deck Machinery LLC

Dallas, announced an alliance with Philadelphia Gear Corp. whereby OSL will manufacture and supply turnkey rack and pinion electric driven jacking systems for offshore drilling and production rigs.

OSL is a provider of hydraulic systems and controls owned by Oilgear Co., Milwaukee, Wisc.; Superior Fabricators of Baldwin, La.; and Lantec Industries of Langley, BC.

Philadelphia Gear is a precision gear manufacturer founded in 1892.

Radarsat International (RSI)

Richmond, BC, has announced appointment of John Hornsby as vice-president of strategic developments, Adrian Bohane as director of worldwide sales, and R. Shawn Burns as director of the information communication and technologies development group.

Hornsby served most recently as RSI's director of worldwide sales. Bohane previously was RSI's sales director of Europe, Middle East, and Africa based in the UK. In his new position, Burns will oversee his division's activities which focus on improving water and natural resource management in developing countries.

RSI, a subsidiary of MacDonald Dettwiler & Associates, is a global provider of data products, information services, and training based on satellite imagery.
