Houston, has announced election of Greg L. Havelka as president and chief executive officer. Havelka has been with the company for 24 years, most recently serving as vice-president and general manager. In his new position, he will oversee Jet-Lube's domestic and international operations for both the industrial and oil field divisions.

Jet-Lube is a worldwide supplier of high-performance specialty compounds, lubricants, and greases. Founded in the mid 1940s as a formulator of special drilling compounds for the oil industry, Jet-Lube expanded in the 1980s into numerous industrial markets with a comprehensive line of specialty products, including a full line of environmentally safe products for the oil industry.

Petroleum Geo-Services ASA (PGS)Oslo and Houston, has announced acquisition of Houston-based Diamond Geophysical Service Corp. Diamond specializes in designing, acquiring, processing, and marketing 3D multi-client seismic surveys in areas with complex imaging problems, and has exclusively represented and technically marketed a significant portion of PGS' Gulf of Mexico multi-client library for the past 7 years.

Petroleum Geo-Services is a technologically-focused oil field service company principally involved in two businesses: geophysical operations, and production operations. PGS acquires, processes, and markets 3D, time-lapse, and multi-component seismic data. In its production operations business, PGS owns four FPSOs, and operates numerous offshore production facilities for oil and gas companies.

Randall & Dewey Inc.

Houston, has named Roger W. Lemons as manager, projects. Prior to joining Randall & Dewey, Lemons was vicepresident for Texas Liquids LLC, and was with Unocal for 16 years in various management positions. He holds a BS in petroleum engineering from Stanford University, and an MBA from the University of California-Irvine.

Randall & Dewey Inc. is an upstream transaction advisory firm specializing in worldwide oil and gas mergers, acquisitions, and divestments.

Allenergy Inc.

Santa Ana, Calif., has signed an agreement to purchase Ackara Corp., a private company incorporated in Louisiana. Prior Ackara management, including Warren D. Caudle, founder and president, will remain in place and be based in Lafayette, La. Caudle will serve as senior vice-president for Allenergy.

Ackara's assets include the M/V Southern Endeavor, a recently refitted 180-foot, 200-ton steel-hulled ocean going vessel operating in the Gulf of Mexico as a supply boat servicing offshore drilling and exploration rigs.

To date, Allenergy has been involved in stripper well oil production, salvage of used oil field equipment, and various oil field service work including well plugging for environmental purposes for the state of Oklahoma and individual oil producing companies. This purchase will allow Allenergy to expand its scope of operations into the offshore industry.

Cajun Tubular Services

Lafayette, La., has announced the appointment of Lance Dwyer as vice-president of operations; and of James Rigney Jr. as safety director.

Dwyer has more than 27 years of experience in operations management, as well as extensive knowledge in pipe testing, tubular make-up, and torque control and monitoring.

Rigney has more than 17 years of experience in safety instruction and training.

Established in 1981, Cajun Tubular Services provides complete tubular handling including tubular make-up and breakout, computerized torque monitoring, thread inspection and cleaning, internal hydrostatic and mixed gas testing, and assembly make-up and testing services.

Baker Atlas and TomoSeis

Houston, have announced a joint alliance to provide crosswell seismic services to the global oil and gas industry. Under the agreement, TomoSeis will provide specialist crosswell seismic technology and personnel, and Baker Atlas will provide operational support, data processing, and access to its global customer base.

TomoSeis' in-reservoir, crosswell seismic is a new imaging technology that is designed to provide high-resolution information about underground oil and gas reservoirs. TomoSeis is a division of Core Laboratories.

Baker Atlas, a division of Baker Hughes Inc., is a provider of formation evaluation services and pioneered the development of a patented reservoir connectivity mapping product.

Chandler Engineering Co. LLC

Tulsa, has purchased the Fluid Technology Group business of Ruska Instrument Corp., Houston. Primary business of this group is manufacture and sales of PVT systems, positive displacement pumps, and ancillary equipment such as viscometers and gasometers.

In business for over 50 years, Chandler Engineering is a supplier of instruments for testing oil, gas, and geothermal well cements.

Clearwater Inc.

Pittsburgh, Pa., has announced its acquisition of WSP Chemicals & Technology, Inc., an Ambridge, Pa.-based manufacturer of synthetic water-soluble polymers.

The integration of WSP's cementing and drilling polymers complements Clearwater's position as a supplier of oil gelling chemistry to the oil industry.

Clearwater is a global chemical company with four main businesses: oil field products, formates, intermediates, and water-soluble polymers and performance products. The company has four manufacturing plants, two research centers, and sales offices in the US, Canada, Russia, Indonesia, and the UAE.
