Oklahoma City, has announced the opening of new sales and stock locations in Casper and Rock Springs, Wyo., in order to better serve customers in the Rocky Mountain area and Canada.

Oklahoma City, has announced the opening of new sales and stock locations in Casper and Rock Springs, Wyo., in order to better serve customers in the Rocky Mountain area and Canada.

Ed Patterson, director of sales for Den-Con, has relocated to Rock Springs and will be responsible for the area.

He will continue to manage operations of Den-Con Electronics as well.

Den-Con Tool Co. is an API-licensed manufacturer of pipe handling tools.

Den-Con Electronics markets a harsh environment equipment identification and tracking system, and equipment tracking software.

Emerson Process Management

St. Louis, has named David Plum as vice-president, global sales and marketing for the Valve Automation Division. Plum has been with various Emerson companies for 20 years, most recently serving as president of Emerson's CSI Division.

Emerson Process Management is a supplier of process management solutions that help automate, control, and manage complex processes. The Valve Automation Division supplies pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, and gas hydraulic valve automation products and services.

Gaffney, Cline & Associates

Houston, has announced the relocation of its North American headquarters to Houston. The Houston base is seen as a key platform for further growth and expansion of the firm's services to the international energy industry.

Gaffney, Cline & Associates is an international technical and management consultancy founded in 1962. It has offices in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Singapore, Venezuela, UK, and US. The company offers a complete range of services encompassing exploration and production, processing and transportation, refining and marketing, and power.

Grant Prideco

Houston, has announced the appointment of Louis A. Raspino as vice-president and chief financial officer. Raspino replaces Frances R. Powell, who recently announced her retirement.

Prior to joining Grant Prideco, Raspino served as vice-president of finance for Halliburton Company. He also held positions at Louisiana Land & Exploration Company, and at Ernst & Young. Raspino, a CPA, holds a BS from Louisiana State University, and an MBA from Loyola University.

Grant Prideco is a leader in drill stem technology development, and drill pipe manufacturing, sales, and service.

Houston, has formed a professional services group to provide staffing services worldwide to client sites and offices. Mark C. Shepard, an engineering and construction veteran with more than 20 years of experience as a project and procurement management executive, has been named to lead the group. Shepard holds a BS in engineering technology from Texas A&M University.

Mustang Engineering, a Wood Group company, is an independent services provider to the domestic and international oil and gas industry. The company specializes in design, engineering, procurement, project management, and construction management of upstream oil and gas facilities and structures, process plants, pipelines, and control and automation projects. Company capabilities range from initial feasibility studies through startup for both onshore and offshore projects.

Hunting Oilfield Services

Houston, has acquired Performance Drilling Wyoming and Performance Boring Technologies Inc. The acquisition strengthens Hunting's position in the Rocky Mountain States. Joe Ficken will continue as operations manager for the Performance products, which will be marketed under the Hunting Performance name.

Performance, based in Casper, Wyo., manufactures and rents a complete line of mud motor products used in drilling hard rock formations. Hunting will incorporate these motors and technology into its existing equipment alliance with trenchless market supplier, Vermeer Manufacturing.

Hunting Oilfield Services provides tubular products and services for the fiber-optic telecommunications, and oil and gas upstream industries.

Dayton, Ohio, has announced the promotion of Mike Fitzpatrick to district sales manager, Midwest district. Fitzpatrick will oversee all aspects of sales and marketing for USI's Indianapolis and Chicago facilities. He holds degrees in business administration and economics from Hanover College.

US Inspection Services provides comprehensive nondestructive testing, mechanical testing, metallurgical analysis, and laboratory management services to the automotive, aerospace, power generation, petrochemical, and metalworking industries.

US Oil Recovery LLC

Houston, has announced the start of its new services, recovering oil and processing waste for the oil exploration and production industries, as well as other non-refinery customers. US Oil Recovery is an affiliate of Houston-based Scaltech International LLC, a leading provider of refinery waste treatment in Latin America. Scaltech International until recently was an affiliate of Scaltech Inc., a North American provider of refinery waste treatment. In June 2001, Scaltech Inc. was purchased by a unit of US Filter Corp.

Scaltech International provides oily sludge treatment, and has patented technologies that allow the company to treat hazardous and non-hazardous wastes.

US Oil Recovery will provide these services to the US non-refining sector.

US Oil Recovery designs, builds, and operates proprietary systems for waste management. Its technologies and expertise focus on recycling valuable resources.
