New Orleans, announced that its president, Cheryl Collarini, has been named recipient of the 2001 Entrepreneur Award presented by the Society of Women Engineers. Ms. Collarini is also president of Petro-Temps Inc.

Collarini Engineering Inc., a petroleum evaluation consulting firm founded in 1985, provides engineering and geoscience services to the upstream oil and gas industry.

Matthews, NC, has named Larry A. Gorman as manager of its industrial valve engineering group. Gorman will oversee engineering work and provide support to sales and manufacturing. He holds a

BS in mechanical engineering from Chicago Technical College and held positions with McCanna Inc. prior to joining Conbraco.

Conbraco Industries Inc., founded in 1928, manufactures flow control products for US and international markets.

Varidigm Corp.

Minneapolis, has announced the appointment of Brad Blankenship as president and CEO. Blankenship is a veteran of Honeywell's HVAC and controls businesses, and most recently has been involved with start-up and early-stage electronics companies.

Varidigm manufactures variable-output technologies for HVAC equipment and appliances. The company spun off from the Gas Technology Institute (GTI) in 1999, to commercialize 10 years of research and numerous patents related to space conditioning and motor control.

CRC-Evans Weighting Systems Inc.

Tulsa, has appointed Brian A. Wark as the company's representative for Australia. Based in Sydney, Wark has been involved with the oil and gas industry worldwide for more than 30 years.

CRC-Evans Weighting Systems Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of CRC-Evans Pipeline International Inc., serves the global buoyancy control market for oil, gas, water, and sewerage pipelines.

CRC-Evans Pipeline International Inc. manufactures and markets equipment and services for pipeline construction. Keith Fitzgerald will continue to represent that company in Australia for all products and services except weighting systems.

Stoner Associates Inc.

Carlisle, Pa., has been purchased by Lattice Group, through its technology and engineering subsidiary, UK-based Advantica. Stoner specializes in the development and marketing of commercial, off-the-shelf network simulation-based solutions for the gas, electricity, petroleum, and water industries.

Stoner announced the promotion of Angela Baker to development manager for its Carlisle-based core products, Steve Bonema to vice-president of product development, and Kristen Freese to program manager of UADMS project.

Advantica is an independent company resulting from the spinoff in 2000 of the research and technology division of British Gas. Headquartered in Loughborough, UK, the company serves gas, pipeline, and associated industries worldwide.
