Rockville, Md., has announced that Caley Parrish has joined its Urbandale, Iowa, office as project manager specializing in environmental construction.

Parrish holds a BA in geology, and has nine years of experience in soil and groundwater remediation and construction.

Apex Environmental Inc. is a comprehensive environmental service company serving government and the private sector since 1988.

PGS Production Services

Aberdeen, has acquired 100% interest in Joint Venture International. The acquisition will facilitate PGS Production Services' expansion within Asia Pacific.

JVI was established in 1991 to meet the need for multi-skilled and broad-based engineering management contractors within the oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors. The company employs 400 in the UK with another 400 in Brunei and Malaysia.

PGS Production Services is part of the Petroleum Geo-Services group, headquartered in Oslo and Houston.

It provides operations management solutions and maintenance services to the oil and gas industry, and has almost 2,000 employees in the UK and on North Sea installations.

Baker Energy

Houston, a unit of Michael Baker Corp., has named John N. Hickman as senior vice-president, and John Glithero as vice-president for business development.

Hickman has over 27 years of experience in oil and gas production and operations with emphasis on offshore facilities, and joined Baker Energy in 1998.

Glithero holds a BS in engineering from Texas A&M University, and has been with Baker Energy since 1989.

Baker Energy provides comprehensive operations and maintenance services for oil and gas producers worldwide.

Michael Baker Corp., headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pa., provides engineering and energy expertise for public and private sector clients worldwide.

Fluent Inc. and Concepts NREC

Lebanon, NH, and Wilder, Vt., respectively, have announced formation of a strategic partnership to provide comprehensive design and analysis software tools for turbomachinery applications. The collaboration will bundle Fluent's general purpose computational fluid dynamics simulation software with Concepts NREC's turbomachinery design system software. Both companies will sell the bundled software.

Fluent Inc.'s software is used to predict fluid flow, heat and mass transfer, chemical reaction, and related phenomena.

Concepts NREC is an independent, full-service turbomachinery design and development organization.

Fresno, Tex., a subsidiary of ACS Industries Inc., has appointed Chick Parkinson as business development manager of international LNG projects.

Established in 1994, Cell-U-Foam Corp. supplies cellular glass insulation products to the chemical, petrochemical, and oil and gas industries worldwide. The company recently supplied insulation for some of the largest above-ground full containment storage tanks in the world at Korea Gas Co.'s Tong Young LNG terminal.

OFS Portal LLC

Houston, has named its first board of managers, responsible for directing the strategies, policies, and affairs of the company. Members of the board are William A. Le Sage, CEO of OFS Portal; David A. Armour, director of e-business for Ensco International; Charles Currie, vice-president of e-initiatives for Schlumberger Oilfield Services; Alvaro Escorcia, director of real time reservoir solutions for Halliburton Energy Services; John Newcaster, vice-president of supply chain management and e-business for M-I LLC; Steve Sidney, director of e-business for Baker Hughes; and Dave R. Wallis, director of e-commerce for Weatherford International.

OFS Portal LLC is a joint initiative of suppliers working to provide a common source of standardized e-commerce information for upstream oil and gas products and services.

Godwin Pumps of America Inc.

Bridgeport, NJ, has acquired Godwin Pumps Ltd., Quenington, UK. The merger will combine the manufacturing expertise of Godwin Pumps Ltd. with the rental, sales, and marketing prowess of Godwin Pumps of America. John Michael Paz will remain as president of the merged firm. Michael Stone will continue as managing director of Godwin Pumps Ltd.

Godwin Pumps, founded in 1976, is a manufacturer and provider of portable pumping systems.

CMM Group LLC

De Pere, Wis., is the new company formed by Charles M. Martinson, formerly president of Wolverine Pollution Control and Industrial Dryer Division.

The company will provide custom-designed air pollution control systems and industrial web dryers for use in a wide variety of industries worldwide.

Englewood, Colo., has named Jim Easton as manager, oil and gas programs. Easton specializes in the management, coordination, and implementation of environmental and other projects for the oil and gas industry. He previously was environmental manager for Colorado Interstate Gas Co.
