Western rig to start drilling in Turkmenistan

A western drilling rig manufactured by Bentec GmbH Drilling & Oilfield Systems, a division of Preussag AG, Bad Bentheim, Germany (Figs. 1 and 2), will begin work soon for Turkmenneft in Turkmenistan. The Turk 1, manufactured by Bentec for Turkmenneft, has a hook load capacity of 1.3 million lb (14 lines) and uses modern solids-control equipment (Fig. 2).
