Intrinsically safe level switch
With two-wire, 4-20 ma loop power electronics, the NuTec insertion level switch promises to meet oil field intrinsic safety requirements.
The Model LS2000 switch helps eliminate expensive instrument conduit runs in explosive environments, the company says. The switch is also suited for retrofitting two-wire mechanical float and flow paddle switches without changing or adding wires.
Combining accuracy with reliability, the LS2000 is designed for service in nearly all fluid wet or dry applications. It is responsive as well, >500 ms maximum following a step change in level. It operates at temperatures of 40-250° F. and at operating pressures as high as 500 psig. Made with 316 stainless steel for all wetted surfaces, it can be top or side mounted. The unit's level accuracy is 1/8 in. from the flow element center line. Approvals include FM, CENELEC, CSA, and CE Mark (pending).

New oil analyzer models made of stainless steel
New models of the H2Oil Analyzer System include 4, 6, and 8 in. versions with ANSI Class 150, 300, and 600 flange ratings. The product features optional all 316 SS construction.
The system is designed specifically for applications including well testing, flow station, pipelines, oil movement and storage, and custody transfer.
Its stainless-steel construction makes it suited for offshore applications.
It accurately measures the amount of water in continuous-oil phase or continuous-water phase conditions through the entire composition range of 0-100% water. It incorporates a patented, simultaneous admittance sensor, which provides enhanced performance over older technologies. One model covers all water-percentage measurements for a specific line, eliminating the need for multiple models, the maker points out.
It offers:

- Detailed knowledge of oil reservoir.
