Redesigned, improved SSW-04 and SSW-03 soft starters for motors promise to provide a complete and cost effective solution to reduce mechanical stress and limit inrush current and voltage drops. Full microprocessor based control allows easy adjustment through the keypad for fast and trouble-free start-up and complete motor protection. Plus, a pump control feature helps prevent pumps running at no load and eliminate pipeline waterhammer.

Features include 16-1,400 amp and 230-575 v input power supplies, an all digital 16 bit microprocessor with keypad, built in electronic overload relay, and thermal image motor protection.

The redesigned SSW-03 and SSW-04 soft starters are suited for multiple applications, including pumps, fans, blowers, compressors, conveyors, and crushers.

Free wellsite products flyers

New, free, 4-color flyers describe the following wellsite products:

  • Model DAV diaphragm actuated gate valve-a 3,000 psi 2-in., 11/4-in. reduced port, bidirectional flow safety valve that uses two floating seats and a slab gate of hardened steel to provide sealing.
  • Wellhead gate valve-a 4l/l 6-in., 3,000 lb valve designed for frac and production applications.
  • BLF inline choke-a new, improved model that handles low flow and low pressure drops that characterize CO2 and water injection operations.
  • Drill pipe float valve for internal blowout protection in deep wells,

directional wells, and severe H2S or CO2 environments.

  • BBV aluminum bronze ball valve-a quarter-turn solution for enhanced oil recovery installations.
  • Angle pattern choke valve-a wellhead control choke valve that helps reduce hydrates, offers top entry for ease of internal parts removal while in the well flow line, and is available in flanged and threaded end connections.

Infrared combustible gas monitor

Designed to measure hydrocarbon vapors in the range of 0-100% by volume, the PIRVOL point infrared combustible gas monitor is suited for wellhead mud-logging, hydrocarbon processing, and other extractive vapor sampling and measurement applications.

Its benefits feature:

  • 5 year product warranty.
  • Sapphire optics for hardness.
  • Self-monitoring, with built-in diagnostic information.
  • Nonintrusive calibration.
  • Small form factor that enables easy system integration.

By not needing routine calibration, these IR detectors offer reduced maintenance costs in comparison with traditional catalytic gas detectors, plus operation in oxygen depleted environments.

They also perform reliably in prolonged exposure to high concentrations of background gases and are unaffected by silicones or hydrides that poison other devices, the company says. A multilayer protection system shields the optics from dirt or water, and the optics are heated to prevent condensation.

Remote monitor provides well data

Smart-Alek, an intelligent remote monitoring system, provides immediate feedback on well pressure, temperature, and flow. Using the internet, it delivers a variety of information, as well as alarm warnings to producers who manage remote assets.

Its main function is to convert pressure, temperature, and flow into digital information that is stored in the device, encrypted, then transmitted to the well owner via wireless network to a PC, cell phone, pager, or fax.

The data are automatically analyzed, using parameters established by the customer, to spot changes in well performance. This permits the monitoring system to send alarms conveying specific information about problems at the well site so operators can respond immediately.

Because the system is a web-based product, encrypted data can be made available simultaneously to anyone who needs it, anywhere in the world.

The product also delivers a variety of information commonly used by producers on land, on pipelines, at gas plants, and roadways.
