A new, ultra-deepwater pipelay and subsea construction vessel, the CSO Deep Blue (shown here at dock), is nearing The Netherlands enroute from Hyundai Mipo dockyards after successful sea trials. The vessel will have its pipelay equipment installed in advance of beginning operations this summer on the Boomvang and Nansen fields in 3,600 ft water in the US Gulf of Mexico. CSO Deep Blue is owned by Coflexip Stena Offshore, Paris.
