Houston, has named Eugene Williams manager - reservoir characterization and Raymond Flumerfelt senior consultant.

Williams has over 20 year's of petroleum consulting experience. Flumerfelt was formerly with Schlumberger and Shell. He has BS and MS degrees in petroleum engineering from Texas A & M University.

Advanced Resources International is a research and consulting firm serving the international energy industry. It has offices in Houston, Denver, and Washington, D.C.

Wood Group ESP

Oklahoma City, has acquired a controlling interest in Control Telecom Inc. (CTI). The new company is trading as Wood Group Control Telecom.

Wood Group ESP is the worldwide distributor for CTI's motor control system. This system will replace the conventional system used in electric submersible pumps.

Wood Group ESP, a worldwide company based in Oklahoma City, is a service provider and manufacturer of electric submersible pumps for the petroleum and water industries. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Wood Group, the international energy services company which has 7,000 employees working in the Middle East, Far East, Europe, Latin America, US, and Canada.

Control Telecom Inc.

of Houston, has developed smart controllers for the aviation and petroleum industry.

Denny O'Brien, Ed Blott, PhD, and John Arestad, PhD Denver, have formed ExplorTech LLC. It specializes in the integration of seismic data with geological and engineering information for resource evaluations and development. ExplorTech LLC provides the application of 3C and enhanced AVO seismic technologies. Services include exploration and exploitation consulting; project evaluation, planning, and execution; integrated multidisciplinary projects; and technical business, and petroleum training and instruction.

Orcom Solutions Inc.

Denver, has named Marisol Konczal director of marketing. She will be responsible for leading Orcom's branding, advertising, marketing, and communications initiatives in North America

Previously, Konczal was with U S West. She oversaw marketing and communications strategy for the company's small business and consumer group, launched VDSL and DSL product lines, and managed the product and branding team. She holds a master's degree in organizational management and a bachelor's degree in public relations from the University of Southwestern Louisiana.

Orcom Solutions Inc., is an application service provider (ASP) of billing and customer care solutions, systems integration, and outsourcing services to the utility and energy industry.

PRIZM Advanced Communication Electronics Inc.

Baltimore, has named George Kotula project manager/ design engineer. Kotula will be responsible for new product design, project management, and technical support.

Previously, Kotula worked at Oceaneering Technologies as project manager and systems engineer.

Yokogawa Corp. of America

Newnan, Ga., has named Sue Lynch general manager of the field instruments business unit.

Lynch will oversee Yokogawa's flow, pressure, and temperature products.

Prior to joining Yokogawa in 1998, Lynch was the US business unit manager, flow products for ABB.

Her most recent position with Yokogawa was general manager, product marketing.

Yokogawa Corp. of America is the North American unit of Yokogawa Electric Corp.

PC & E

St. Louis, has named John Solodar senior engineer. His responsibilities will include mechanical system design, energy conservation studies, and commissioning of industrial facilities.

Prior to joining PC & E, Solodar was with Monsanto Enviro-Chem systems as senior mechanical engineer.

He has more than 8 year's experience in the energy, utility, and manufacturing industries.

Solodar has a BS in mechanical engineering from Washington University and a BA in physics from Illinois Wesleyan University.

PC & E provides process automation consulting and electrical engineering. It has offices in Kansas City, Mo., and Decatur, Ill.

Yokogawa Electric Corp.

Tokyo, announced that it has acquired 3A International Inc. Yokogawa and 3A have worked together since 1997.

The acquisition combines 3A's research and development successes with Yokogawa's distribution channels.

The 3A office in Tempe, Ariz., will become the advanced research and development center for the communications products group of Yokogawa Corp. of America.

3A International Inc. is a provider of IEEE 1394 test equipment.

Yokogawa Electric Corp. is a manufacturer and supplier of instrumentation, process control, and automation solutions.
