Houston, announced that it has entered into a consulting agreement with Global Ventures/Consultants Inc. to provide exploration services for the company.

Global Ventures is a Houston-based consulting group composed of international explorationists with expertise in geology, geophysics, and other related scientific disciplines. The nine principals of Global Ventures have an average of over 30 years of international exploration experience with major oil companies.

Global Ventures will assist Harken Energy in high grading its future exploration prospects and review its exploration opportunities in Latin America. Additionally, Global Ventures will assist in prioritizing promising areas of exploration potential in Colombia, Costa Rica, and in other international areas of Latin America. The project will also develop regional databases designed to accelerate the evaluation and ranking of exploration potential in Harken's target areas.

PetroCosm Corp.

Houston, announced that National Oilwell has joined as an equity partner of PetroCosm Corp. Under the terms of the agreement, National Oilwell will hold an equity position in PetroCosm and will utilize the oil and gas B2B marketplace as a distribution channel to its customers. When fully implemented, registered users will have access through PetroCosm to catalog items offered by National Oilwell.

PetroCosm Corp. is a global, independent online marketplace for the energy industry, linking buyers and sellers of oil and gas products and services. Headquartered in Houston, it has offices in London, Aberdeen, Singapore, and Mumbai.

National Oilwell provides design, manufacturing, and sale of comprehensive systems and components used in oil and gas drilling and production, as well as supply chain integration services to the upstream oil and gas industry.

FMC Energy Systems

Houston, announced the opening of two new sales and service centers for surface wellhead systems. The first, in Pampa, Tex., will serve the greater Texas and Oklahoma panhandle area. The second new location located in Longview, Tex., will service the East Texas and northern Louisiana areas. Both facilities will provide new and remanufactured equipment and aftermarket service offerings.

FMC Corp. is a producer of chemicals and machinery for industry and agriculture. The Chicago-based company employs 16,000 people at more than 100 manufacturing facilities and mines in 25 countries.
