Houston, named Max L. Lukens director of the company. Lukens is the former chairman of the board, president, and CEO of Baker Hughes Inc. in Houston.

He is a director of El Paso Energy Corp. and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Stewart & Stevenson Services Inc., founded in 1902, manufactures and distributes industrial products and diesel-powered equipment to industries worldwide, including petroleum, power generation, defense, airline, marine, and transportation.

Tulsa, Okla., has named Johnnie Jarred manager of operations for the company's newest subsidiary, C2 Technical Services LLC.

Jarred has 10 years' experience with Williams Gas Pipeline, most recently as supervisor of the systems balance and quality department. He received a BS degree in mechanical engineering from Kansas State University.

C2 Technologies Inc. services the energy and communications industries.

Gas Technology Institute

Dallas, announced that it has acquired a majority interest in TICORA Geosciences Inc., a coalbed, methane, and shale resource evaluation firm based in Denver, Colo. Joining GTI's E&P Services group, TICORA will continue to provide geologic-based technical support to major and independent coal and shale gas producers and the natural gas research community.

TICORA has supported over 80 well projects since its inception in 1994. TICORA will be expanding into Canada and has plans to expand into international markets. Over 85% of the projects consisted of extensive core-evaluation programs. TICORA has also performed a number of desorption studies. Its clients include gas producers and industry consultants involved in domestic and international emerging resources prospect development. TICORA Geosciences Inc. is now recognized as a controlled subsidiary of Gas Technology Institute (GTI).

GTI, based in the Chicago area, offers research and technical services, research and development program management, technology commercialization, and education and training programs. These programs benefit the natural gas industry and its customers, or provide technology-based solutions to individual organizations. Its E&P Services Division is based

in Houston, with offices in Denver, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Calgary.

CCI

Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., has announced plans to expand its southern California corporate headquarters. With ground breaking scheduled for the last quarter of 2000, the expansion will accommodate the company's growing manufacturing production of control valves for the oil and gas and power industries worldwide. Completion is scheduled for September 2001.

CCI is a manufacturer of severe-service control valves, hydraulic, and pneumatic actuators for coal, oil, gas, and nuclear power plants, as well as pulp and paper plants worldwide. With headquarters in Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., and offices worldwide, CCI operates design and manufacturing facilities in Winterthur, Switzerland; Osaka, Japan; Kyunggi-Do, South Korea.

Netzsch Inc. and Netzsch Instruments Inc.

Exton, Pa., announced that Netzsch Inc. and Netzsch Instruments Inc. have merged to form one unit. The combined company will be known as Netzsch Inc.

Netzsch Inc. is a provider of NEMO progressing cavity pumps, filtration systems, and wet and dry grinding and dispersion equipment. Netzsch Inc. offers in-house design, engineering, and manufacturing capabilities and has been serving North America for more than 30 years.

Both Netzsch divisions are part of the Netzsch group of companies with multinational manufacturing and sales facilities operating in 15 countries. Founded in 1873 as Gebruder Netzsch in Selb, Germany, the company began as a supplier of ceramics processing equipment.
