Process, catalyst choices key to producing 30-ppm sulfur fuels

Refiners will find that their choices of process technologies and catalysts will determine their ability to produce ultra-low sulfur (30 ppm) gasoline and diesel.In particular, producing ultra-low sulfur diesel will be more of a challenge than producing 30-ppm-sulfur gasoline.Ultra-low sulfur diesel production will require larger investments in high-pressure hydrotreating than will gasoline.
