Here's a sealed bearing composite rigging sheave. The new sealed versions come with a yellow safety cover vs. the high visibility orange on the firm's standard model. The bearing system inside the new sealed sheave features an aluminum bearing hub that seals the bearings from any outside element or intrusion.

Testing has proved this sealed bearing system to provide up to 3 years of continuous use without any bearing wear. This eliminates the worry of whether the operators have greased the bearings, causing them to fail prematurely, the maker points out.

All rigging sheaves are corrosion resistant. The side loading gate system makes it easy to load and unload, and each sheave is proof-tested and certified with a safe working load based on a 4:1 safety ratio.

Ultrasonic inspection system

The Acoustic Ranger is an ultrasonic inspection system that detects blockages in pipelines. It can inspect up to 1/2 km of pipeline from a single point of access. To gain access, it requires no dismantling of the pipeline, because it uses standard break-in points.

The unit emits a sound wave that runs along the inside of the pipe, following it around bends and spirals. It promises accuracy and time savings, and it produces a detailed record of all findings, which can be stored on computer for future reference.

Pitot tube flow sensor

The new KB Series averaging pitot flow sensor uses a square-section pitot tube design and a precision cold drawn bar with a pulsed plasma-weld manufacturing process.

These sensors help cut costs for high-end applications in chemical and petrochemical processing.

Installed in horizontal or vertical pipelines, KB Series offers a 1% accuracy of differential pressure measurement. If space is limited, the sensor may be "elbow-mounted" close to a bend in the pipe and will still deliver predictable performance. For simplicity, there are just four sensor sizes in the range, providing flow measurement for pipe sizes of 0.5-78 in. (15 to 9,150 mm).

Sensors are available on their own for use with remote pressure transmitters and indicators, or complete with a direct-mounted 4301 transmitter. This combination delivers precise flow measurement through efficient energy transfer direct from sensor to transmitter, eliminating potential pressure loss from impulse line connections.

Conversion kits for Magnum absolute pleated and Magnum oil adsorption filter cartridges fit into existing process and offshore filter vessels and offer a cost effective solution for filter replacement.

Filter cartridges are suited for a range of process and offshore filtration uses including brines, completion fluids, gravel pack, and pipeline flushing. The cartridges are available in absolute ratings of 50 microns down to 1 micron and are offered in microglass fiber, polypropylene, polyester, cellulose, and oil adsorption media. Cartridges also come as custom built skid-mounted filtration systems. This multihousing design allows continuous flow even during filter change-out.
