David Kyle has been elected chairman and CEO of ONEOK Inc., Tulsa. Kyle succeeds Larry Brummett, who died of cancer late last month . Kyle will retain his position as the company's president.

Kyle started his career in 1974 with what is now ONEOK's Oklahoma Natural Gas Co. (ONG) division. He served in a variety of capacities and in 1994 was named president of ONG; he was named to the ONEOK board in August 1995. And, in October 1997, he was named to his present position of ONEOK president and chief operating officer.

Meanwhile, William A. Lang has joined Coast Energy Group (CEG) as president and chief operating officer. Before his appointment at CEG, Lang was president and COO of NiSource Inc. unit EnergyUSA-TPC, where he managed that unit's Market Hub Partners division, the largest operator and developer of salt cavern gas storage in the US. Lang also oversaw TPC's asset management activities in natural gas.

Prior to working for EnergyUSA, Lang served as managing director of Southern Co. Energy Marketing; as senior vice president at Vastar Resources Inc., where he managed all commercial activities covering gas, electricity, crude oil, and NGL; and as director of marketing and transportation for Tenneco Gas.

And Greg A. Lohnes has been named president and CEO of Great Lakes Gas Transmission Co., Troy, Mich. Lohnes replaces Michael Durnin, who has retired.

Lohnes's most recent position was with TransCanada PipeLines Ltd., where he served in executive positions and was most recently vice president, global strategy and business development, for its international business unit.

"I look forward to working with the excellent team at Great Lakes and continuing its standing as a leading transporter of natural gas in North America," Lohnes said.
