Houston, Tex., has formed a new e-commerce web site called OilfieldShop.com, of which it is a founding partner. Jim Johnson has been named president of OilfleldShop.com. The new web portal is focused on the exploration and production sector of the oil and gas industry, on products and services for down-hole application, from the wellhead to the tubular system including bottom hole assemblies.

Johnson has more than 20 years experience in the oil service industry, which includes being president of Interlock Technologies. He will remain in his current position as director of products for Hunting Oilfield Services.

Hunting Oilfield Services is a provider of complete tubular systems and services for oil and gas exploration and production, offering operators total supply chain programs. The company has major manufacturing operations in Canada, China, Netherlands, Scotland, Singapore, US and Venezuela, plus regional sales-service centers and 50 additional service partners worldwide. The parent company, Hunting PLC, provides engineering, products, and services to the oil and defense industries.

International Alliance Group (lAG)

has named Harvey L. McQuiston director of project development. McQuiston will oversee business development projects at IAG.

McQuiston has more than 28 years of experience, with 16 of those years spent dedicated to licensing and business development of FCC technology. He has held several positions including principal process engineer, project engineer, project manager and FCC program manager. Prior to joining IAG, he served seven years as FCC technology marketing manager for ABB Lummus Global Inc., where he was responsible for the commercial and technical development of Lummus' FCC technology.

International Alliance Group is Triten's newest subsidiary that delivers technology-driven projects to upgrade oil company refining units.

Licenergy (LIC) and Wright, Logue & Associates (WLA)

have merged. Both companies are suppliers of software solutions to the gas and liquids pipeline industries with significant synergies in bringing their product lines together for a total solution.

The new name of the merged companies is Energy Solutions International, Inc. (ESI) with Shaun Wright as president and CEO.

Energy Solutions International's corporate headquarters are located in Houston. ESI's global operations will continue through its satellite offices in the UK, Middle East, India and Canada.

Zurich Global Energy

has named Denis H. Smith senior vice president of claims. Smith will be responsible for maintaining global claim integrity in concert with Zurich Global Energy's core philosophy. He will report to Pete Connors, president and CEO of Zurich Global Energy, and will be based in New York. Zurich Global Energy specializes in providing comprehensive risk solutions, risk engineering services and claims support tailored to the individual needs of oil and gas, petrochemical, mining and power companies.

Prior to joining Zurich Global Energy, Smith spent four years at ACE International (formerly CIGNA International), as vice president of property claims worldwide. Before that, he was vice president/claims manager at Starr Technical Risks Agency, a division of American International Group. Earlier in his career, Smith was a senior property adjuster and claims manager with American International Underwriters in New York and Melbourne, Australia.

Zurich Global Energy is the newly expanded global business unit of the Zurich Financial Services Group, which incorporates the former international operations of Zurich Global Energy with the U.S.-based activities of Zurich U.S. Energy. Zurich Global Energy specializes in the provision of comprehensive risk solutions, risk engineering services and claims support tailored to the individual needs of oil and gas, petrochemical mining and power companies.

The Zurich Financial Services Group provides its customers with solutions in the area of financial protection and asset accumulation, concentrating in four core businesses: life insurance, non-life insurance, reinsurance and asset management.

Crowley Maritime Corp.,

Jacksonville, Fla., has named Nancy Ritter vice president of information technology. She replaces Bob Mobler, who retired from that position.

Ritter is responsible for all aspects of the corporation's information technology services. This includes areas such as telephone and data communications systems, satellite data systems, vendor relations, strategic planning, applications development, and mainframe, mid-tier and desktop computer systems.

Ritter joined Crowley in 1993 as a project leader. Since that time she has held positions as manager of application systems., director of application infrastructure, and, most recently as director of technology management.

Prior to joining Crowley, Ritter worked for 10 years with Electronic Data Systems Corp. (EDS). With EDS she held positions of increasing responsibility including systems engineer, systems analyst, quality assurance manager; project manager and account executive.

Oakland-based Crowley Maritime Corp. is engaged in integrated logistics, marine transportation and related services. The corporation has several operating subsidiaries including: Crowley Liner Services, Crowley Marine Services, Crowley Petroleum Transport and Crowley Logistics.
