The new series TFXP portable transit time flowmeter features advanced noninasive flow measurement technology that provides a measuring system with accuracy, versatility, ease of installation, and dependability. The system installs quickly on liquid piping systems with its noninvasive, nonfouling transducers and can be configured and operational within minutes. Although designed primarily for cleaner liquids, the flowmeter can reliably measure liquids containing moderate amounts of suspended solids or aeration. It is designed for long or short-term flow measurement surveys on full-pipe liquid systems and is suited for verifying calibration of permanently mounted flowmeters of all types.

The unit features a tactile keypad, 24 hr battery (rechargeable), removable 100,000-event data logger, and a 64 by 128 pixel, back-lit graphic display-all integrated into a rugged, watertight enclosure. Its Windows Ultralink software utility allows simple in-field programming, calibration, and software upgrades. The flowmeter comes complete with all accessories necessary for measuring piping systems from 1 in. to 100 ft .

Inferential measurement and monitoring software

MSPC+ Version 2.0, an advanced inferential measurement and performance monitoring software package, delivers early warning of process malfunctions and helps ensure the manufacture of a consistent product. It includes an on-line and off-line tool. The off-line tool provides the facility for data analysis and the development of appropriate models for on-line implementation.

The on-line tool tracks a process out of control and identifies which variables are causing the drift.

Unit protects on-line analyzers from water damage

A new line of high efficiency instrument guard filters offers protection from water damage to on-line analyzers.

The Model 98 hydrophobic membrane filter is designed to prevent water from entering and damaging on-line analyzers. A porous membrane is supported by a disk located on the sample flow side of the housing. Gas enters through the inlet port and exits through the outlet port. The sample flow is taken through the membrane to the analyzer.

Liquid entrained in the gas stream cannot pass the membrane, and exits through the outlet port.

The Model A98-11 contains the same membrane with the added protection of a coalescing filter. In normal operation, the A98-11 acts as an efficient coalescing filter. Should any water pass the coalescing element (for example, due to an unexpected surge in pressure, drop in temperature, or large slug of water entering the filter), the flow to the analyzer is shut off temporarily while the sample returns to its normal dry condition.

Once the sample is dry, flow to the analyzer automatically resumes. During this protective operation only the sample flow and not the main gas stream is shut off.

The simple design employs no moving parts.

Gas chromatograph brochure

A free, technical 8 page brochure describes the recently released Micro PL gas chromatograph. This pipeline gas chromatograph is designed to provide a low cost, low maintenance measurement of energy content in natural gas.

The unit offers a range of applications where hydrocarbon gas or fixed gas analysis is required, such as BTU measurement in natural gas operations.

The four-color brochure illustrates features as well as performance capabilities in detail..
