Weatherford International, Inc., Houston, Tex., has announced that its gas compression division, Weatherford Global Compression Services, has acquired Gas Services International (GSI), Ltd.

Weatherford International, Inc., Houston, Tex., has announced that its gas compression division, Weatherford Global Compression Services, has acquired Gas Services International (GSI), Ltd. The acquisition will expand Weatherford Global's platform of full service capabilities in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East areas.

GSI's main business units include compressor package rental, manufacturing, maintenance and service, and FPSO projects. The company's service branches include Indonesia, Dubai and Singapore, which also is the location of GSI's 60,000 sq. foot manufacturing facility.

Weatherford Global Compression Services is a single-source provider of natural gas compression solutions to a variety of customers worldwide. Its solutions comprise a wide choice of compression services, including full service turnkey compression project management, a large fleet of rental compression units, maintenance and reconditioning services for customer-owned equipment, custom engineered compression systems, innovative financing programs and used equipment.

Weatherford International, Inc. is a provider of innovative mechanical solutions, technology and services for the drilling, completion and production sectors of the oil and gas industry.

USFilter and DMP Corp. have formed a strategic alliance to exchange industrial wastewater treatment technologies, products and services.

USFilter will use DMP's treatment systems and upscale control and diagnostic systems as part of its offerings to industrial customers in selected markets. At the same time, DMP will offer its customers microfiltration, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis and ion exchange systems produced by USFilter's Industrial Wastewater Systems group, with facilities in Billerica, Mass.; Warrendale, Pa.; and Santa Clara, Calif.

DMP Corp., Fort Mill, S.C., offers a complete line of automated continuous-flow and batch treatment systems that handle wastewater from a variety of industrial processes.

USFilter, a Vivendi Water company, is a provider of commercial, industrial, municipal and residential water and wastewater treatment systems, products and services with operations in more than 100 countries. It is based in Palm Desert, Calif.

The Expro Group, Aberdeen, Scotland, has announced the acquisition of North American-based Tripoint Inc. to enhance the range of downhole products and services available from its Cased Hole business stream to the North American market. Tripoint is a provider of engineered well completion and perforating systems to the Gulf of Mexico region, and will be integrated with the Group's existing services to offer enhanced performance tubing - and wireline-conveyed well perforating systems to a global clientbase.

With operating centres in Lafayette, La., Calgary, Can., and Alice, Tex., the acquisition of Tripoint is an instrumental part of the Expro Group's development strategy to significantly expand operations in the deepwater regions of North America. Aside from providing clients with immediate benefits through an extended range of products and services, Tripoint's Canadian customers offer instant access to one of the world's fastest growth regions for E&P activity.

Tripoint offers innovative and reliable solutions using industry recognised equipment, engineered for increased wellbore performance that suits client's completion requirements. The comprehensive range of services includes firing and gun systems together with accessory tooling, and ideally complements the Expro Group's existing Cased Hole services. Tripoint's perforating systems include involvement with market leading products such as 'ExcapeSM', casing conveyed well perforating systems and 'Powr*Perf', a new completion method that combines extreme over-balance, tubing-conveyed perforating (TCP) with simultaneous proppant injection to enhance near-wellbore conductivity.

Cased Hole Services, within which the products and services of Tripoint are packaged, focus predominantly on the production phase, combining synergistic businesses that each deliver downhole or in-well production enhancement. To date, this encompasses wireline technologies, explosive services, production logging, corrosion monitoring, data acquisition, fluids and sampling, and well engineering / operations resources through EGIS (Expro Group Integrated Services).

The Expro Group is an international oilfield service company offering key products and services necessary to safely complete and manage oil and gas wells. These products and services are packaged into three distinct business streams: Cased Hole Services, Subsurface Systems and Surface and Environmental Systems, giving clients the ability to maximize the recovery of their reserves.

Tripoint Inc. has become a strong player in engineering solutions to clients' needs for high performance well perforating. Tripoint provides tubing conveyed and wireline conveyed explosives with associated tooling for increased wellbore performance.

Greene's Pressure Testing & Rentals, Inc. has acquired certain assets of Pipetronix's Houston-based pipeline services division. The acquisition extends Greene's oil and gas pipeline services capabilities and signals Greene's entry into the upstream pipeline transmission market.

The acquisition will enable Greene's to offer its oil and gas customers a true turnkey service solution, from pipeline testing through commissioning. Greene's expects this addition will provide greater convenience, quicker response, and shorter turnaround times for its pipeline customers.

Greene's Pressure Testing & Rentals, Inc. services the oil and gas industry and the upstream pipeline transmission industry, providing drilling, production, pipeline, construction support and petroleum processing services, as well as a complete line of equipment rentals to domestic and international customers.
