The firm provides energy market analysis, special competitive and opportunity studies, communications strategy and services, and specialized training. All are tailored to fit the special needs of oil, gas, and energy service companies.

John L. Kennedy, former editor-in-chief of the international petroleum magazine Oil & Gas Journal, is president.

The new firm will help oil, gas, and energy service companies understand volatile energy markets, evaluate specific opportunities, assess a competitive position, communicate effectively, and enhance staff knowledge.

Industrial Scientific Corp., Oakdale, Pa., has named Jeffrey B. Morgan vice president, operations. Morgan will be responsible for all the company's manufacturing, materials management, logistics and quality control functions. This position will report directly to the president and CEO.

Morgan joined Industrial Scientific Corp. in 1977. He has been promoted through various positions with increasing responsibility in all phases manufacturing, process control and quality control. Morgan was elected vice president of manufacturing in 1996.

Industrial Scientific Corp. designs, manufactures and sells gas monitoring instruments, systems, and other technical products for the preservation of life and property.

SolArc, Inc., Tulsa, Okla., has named Kathryn Offermann controller. She joins the company from Hughes Lumber Co.

Offermann has 25 years of financial practice and leadership in both the professional and civic communities.

SolArc, Inc. is a provider of integrated front-office to back-office trade management solutions for the liquid hydrocarbons industry.

Andergauge has named Mike Walker sales manager for South America.

Walker most recently worked for Drilex, a Baker Hughes Inteq products company, and was based in Houston. He was business development manager for South America.

Walker has more than 20 years of sales and management experience in the oil industry. He was product sales manager worldwide at Drilex, account manager for Security DBS, drilling systems PSL manager at Halliburton Latin America S.A. and worked in international sales for Smith International.

Andergauge is an oilfield service company supplying innovative downhole tools to the drilling industry with headquarters in Aberdeen, Scotland, and with offices worldwide.

Compressor Systems, Inc., Midland, Tex., has named Erich Hardaway vice president of Compressor Services International. He has been with the company for over 19 years and most recently served as general manager of engineered product sales. During his tenure as general manager he was highly instrumental in developing CSI's corporate and fabrication facility in Midland.

Compressor Systems, Inc. is a single-source provider for sales, leasing, engineering, fabrication and operation of gas compression equipment. The company engineers and designs all phases of gas compression, including: pipeline, gas gathering, field compression, gas storage, gas lift, plant compression, offshore and speciality applications.
