A new electric-powered sampler is designed for accuracy in liquid measurement.

The ELSCS electric sampler extracts a true isokinetic sample, yielding accurate, reliable, and repeatable results, the company says. Featuring a simple and compact design, the sampler operates at 120 v ac/50 hz, is Factory Mutual approved, and requires no pneumatics or air.

Equipped with a balanced relief module, the new unit constantly adjusts and equalizes sample pressure. Sample volumes of 0.5 cc through 5 cc can be accommodated. The unit is compatible with a number of piston-style cylinders, including the CP-2 DOT-approved series.

Rated explosionproof, the sampler is available in either Class 1, Div. 1, Groups B, C, and D, or Class 2, Div. 2, Groups E, F, and G rating.

Body and electric solenoid are made of carbon steel; the balance is 316 SS with Viton, PTFE, and Fluorotrel seals (316 SS body and solenoid are available).

This new portable FOx FTIR fuel analyzer is an accurate and comprehensive unit suited for analysis of gasoline, diesel, jet fuels, and kerosine. It can measure a variety of oxygenates in real world fuels and at the same time report benzene, octane, aromatics, olefins, Rvp, and D86 properties. All these fuel properties can be obtained with one sample analysis. The FOx is rugged, automated, battery operable, and can be used in the field by nontechnical personnel.

The accuracy of the FOx has passed the scrutiny of ASTM, government fuel enforcement groups, independent testing labs, and the large groups of end users at refineries, pipelines, and terminals, the firm notes.

The new Model FLT93B flow, level, and temperature switch features a design that monitors flow or level and temperature simultaneously.

It is designed to comply with process industry requirements for the precision monitoring of gas or liquid flow, liquid level interface, and temperature. A single switch, which is easily field-configurable, promises accuracy and stability for most flow, level, and temperature sensing and switching requirements.

In oil and gas operations, it provides low flow protection for pumps, as well as pump seal-leak and lubricant-leak detection. It supports high-low level alarming and control as well as interface control in separation vessels for chemical processing uses.
