ABB has created a new Deepwater Systems Division centered in Houston. The division is structured to provide customers globally with deepwater development solutions from design through to commissioning. The division will deliver integrated and innovative solutions for field development completion options and floating production systems. The new division will also continue to execute more traditional shallow water development projects, building on a significant background of execution for U.S. Gulf of Mexico and West African customers.

The new Deepwater Systems Division will also be responsible for the development and commercialization of a portfolio of pre-engineered floating deepwater systems for all operating conditions. Additionally, ABB's Financial Services provides the linked capability to deliver innovative business approaches and project finance solutions.

Expert engineering-only services will also be provided to customers in the area of global analysis, naval architecture and floating systems design.
